Mobility – Started this morning with a 25-minute mobility session focused on the shoulders and glutes using the ROMWOD app. One of my big focuses during the training leading up to IM La Quinta is increasing my mobility and taking the time to work on recovery…more rolling. I really would like to be able to get into a more aero position on the big as well as not feel so stiff all the time.
Trainer Ride – After the mobility work, I jumped on the bike trainer for a 70-minute ride focused on building to a high cadence and single-leg pedaling drills. The single-leg work helps to improve neuromuscular activation patterns, overall leg strength, and cycling efficiency.
